What's wrong with making your own colloidal silver or buying just any product off the shelf?

I have gained a lot from looking closely at the colloidal silver industry to assess the merits of the so called empirical health benefits of colloidal silver and all the other claims about what is the best method of making the ultimate product. I have arranged assays in a Government recognised laboratory of practically every brand of product that claims to be colloidal silver - and found not much joy. Of the products tested, claiming original electrostatic method, they all had inconsistent levels of silver compared to label claims or had very little action in stopping the growth of bacteria in water (called the bacteriostatic effect).
SAFE Colloidal Silver was one of the very few products tested to well represent an excellent quality colloidal silver product - enough silver in a true colloidal state with the correct particle size to achieve a positive effect on pathogens ( like golden staph in the test medium). All products we tested, made electrostatically both commercially and by amateurs, failed to do this. The reason for the failure is that electrostatic methods generally fail to provide a stable efficacious amount of silver. If you use only distilled water you do not get much silver present in the water. If there are any salts present at all they can form silver salts instead of allowing the silver to remain as positive charged colloidal particles. In my opinion, any home made device will always produce some non-colloidal particulate silver, which ends up on the bottom of the medium, often not quite visible enough to recognize or avoid mixing back with the colloids of silver. One can be consuming heavy non colloids of silver, which can have difficulty moving through the system.

Many people feel that because old-fashioned methods produce a yellow colour, that all products have to be like this to be recognized as good quality. So beware of companies who might be colouring their silver artificially, because they could be selling you Silver Nitrate or Sulphide (non-colloidals) and calling it Colloidal Silver. The yellow colour that would come from the electronic process is generated by heat and currents and is greater if salts are added to the medium. The majority of colloidal silver producers in Australia so far have not acquired scientific evaluation certificates from an independent laboratory for each batch and their products are likely to be inconsistent. One Victorian company marketing their silver product Australia wide, had claimed on their label that their product contained 45ppm of silver in the 500ml bottles, however two independent assays found less than 5ppm of silver in the solution. SAFE's Colloidal Silver has 55ppm of silver in the solution 100ml and 500ml bottles and this constant strength is what knocks out the pathogens in the laboratory tests and makes it great value.
Australian industry as a whole has no standards or bodies that govern the quality of colloidal silver solutions (only quantity) and we have found 'Weights and Measures' have failed to act so far on the shonky Victorian company and others. This is what motivated me to write this note to help you better understand some of the issues. This information is based on my knowledge and personal experience and is solely my personal opinion, which I have the right to express without prejudices and not to malign any individual or corporation. It is now up to you to find out who is ethical and honourable and who is not! If you have a special health problem you should consult your health practitioner.
I congratulate you all for not being swayed by so much misinformation about silver from so many companies who by in large do not use a health department approved laboratory to produce their products. They are often 'backyarders' producing products of dubious quality. If you have not used SAFE Colloidal Silver yet, you should try it and then you will see and feel the difference.
